Vascular Access has become a more diversified science. It cannot be handled casually but requires the precision and knowledge of an expert. The crucial elements in IV therapy are education, training, responsibility and accountability. IVNC provides basic, advanced and in-service programs for our client's staff in relations to insertions, care and maintenance, flushing, removal and general vascular access/device information at your location or ours. We are continuously updating our programs based on the changes in healthcare standards and continue to keep our clients up to date as well. IVNC is currently following the January 2021, Infusion Nurses Society (INS) Standards 8th edition of the Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice, which is revised every 5 years. IVNC strives to adhere to INS Standards of Practice to attain the highest possible standard in Vascular Access, along with best practice.

FOUNDER OF IVNC: Susanne Doppke RN, BSA - has worked in multiple specialty areas since 1974. Her experience includes IV and ER Charge Nurse, assisting with implementing educational programs, policies and procedures, and quality assurance activities. She is a member of the Infusion Nurses Society (INS) and is a recognized speaker and educator on Vascular Access and issues within intravenous (IV) practice. In 1976 she received her initial training in IV therapy, continuing as PICCs were first introduced as nursing procedures. After moving to Washington in 1990, she created programs for Technical Colleges and obtained her teaching certificate. From 1995 through the present she started and grew her company, IV Nurse Consultants. With the high quality of Vascular Access Nurses, she hires it has become the largest mobile vascular access team in Washington. Her goal in 2020 forward, is to grow IVNC in the Oregon, Spokane and Idaho areas. The team specializes in the placement of peripheral lines, Midlines & PICCs using portable ultrasound, Port Access. IV training programs, workshops and in-services. Susanne is an enthusiastic pioneer of modern IV Therapy and education and is eager to share her interest and experience with you.
